Sister Mary Shaw
Mary was born on the island of Grenada in the West Indies. Became a Christian at the age of 12 and had been serving the Lord since that time. She graduated from the University of the West Indies with a diploma in management and the University of Technology with a diploma in Secretarial Science.
Mary is a family person, has one daughter and is the wife of Pastor Leonard Shaw. She works fulltime outside of the home yet finds the time to carry out her motherly and wifely duties. She has six siblings and is in constant contact with them. Her mom is still alive and she keeps in contact with her on a regular basis, also.
While living in Grenada, she was a member of the Evangelistic Center and the Ebenezer Tabernacle (both of them Pentecostal churches of the West Indies). Mary migrated to the United States in 2003 and became a member of the following Assembly of God Churches: St. Thomas, First, Florida City; First, New Port Richey and NOW, Revival Tabernacle.
Mary has been actively involved in different areas of ministry since 1980 and served in various capacities: Nursery worker, Kid’s church worker, Sunday School Teacher, secretary, treasurer, vice president and president of all the departments in the churches with the exception of the men’s ministry department. She also was the church board secretary, for four years, at a former church.
The Lord has blessed Mary with the gift of help and she is always willing to help in whatever capacity she is called upon to work. She does not like to be at the forefront but when there is a need she always rises to the occasion. She also exhorts and preaches when called upon to do so. Mary is a humble yet strong-willed person. She loves everything to be done in an orderly, systematic and timely manner and will do whatever it takes to accomplish those standards.
Mary loves her daughter and husband dearly and will do anything to make them comfortable and happy. Most importantly, she loves the Lord with all her heart and is determined to serve him in spirit and truth until the end.
